Description
Eri silk, sometimes referred to as Peace Silk or Ahimsa Silk, is produced by the domesticated Samia Ricini silk worm. Unlike Bombyx mori, Samia Ricini feed on castor plants and eat their way through the cocoon creating short strands of silk.
Noil is created from the left-over short fibres from combing during production and has distinct nubs within the fibres. The Eri silk noil fibre sold on our website is “wooly” in nature and has a similar look to unprocessed cotton.
Sold in 20grm packs.
